Cordyline banksii Electric Flash™ offers a distinct colour difference to Electris Pink™ and Electric Star™. The cream and chocolate coloured leaves offer easy blending into landscapes.
Following in the ‘Electric’ style, Electric Flash is a compact, clump forming Cordyline that doesn’t develop a bare single stemmed trunk. Instead, it develops side shoots that together with its slightly arching leaves provides a denser foliage plant.
Once well established after planting, Electric Flash is extremely heat tolerant withstanding temperatures in excess of 40 degrees Celsius. It is cold hardy to 5 degrees Celsius. Below 0 degrees Celsius, the foliage will die back with regrowth from the stem base dependant on the amount of protection provided to the roots, and the age of the plant.
