  • Cordyline banksii Electric Pink

DESIGN EDGE® is a fashionable group of plants that provide an instant sculptural statement. Their coloured leaves combined with statuesque appearance provide a dramatic visual effect all year round. Their long upright pointed leaves allow you to create great effects in Mediterranean, tropical and formal styled gardens. They contrast superbly with shaped hedges, conjuring a relaxed and stylish look.

Electric Pink is compact and clump forming

This Cordyline banksii generates multiple shoots to form a clump of brightly coloured pink and purple striped leaves. Compared to Cordyline australis varieties which can grow in excess of 3 m tall, Electric Pink only grows to 1.2 m in height.

    Strong architectural presence

The vivid pink, vertical leaves of Electric Pink make an extraordinary statement when planted against green or yellow dominant backgrounds. Electric Pink is in high demand because of its outstanding colour in landscaping situations, both for garden planting and as a focal plant in patio containers. It provides year round colour, particularly in winterised gardens when its colour intensifies.

    Exceptional performance in harsh conditions

Once well established after planting, Electric Pink is extremely heat tolerant withstanding temperatures in excess of 40 degrees Celsius. It is cold hardy to 5 degrees Celsius. Below 0 degrees Celsius the foliage will die back with regrowth from the stem base dependant on the amount of protection provided to the roots, and the age of the plant. Climate Zones: 1 to 4.
