The ‘zap’ started with Electric Pink - now get ready for Electric Star!

Following in the ‘Electric’ style, Electric Star is a compact, clump forming Cordyline that doesn’t develop a bare single stemmed trunk. Instead it develops side shoots that together with its slightly arching leaves provides a denser foliage plant.

This Cordyline banksii generates multiple shoots to form a clump of green and chocolate striped leaves. Compared to Cordyline australis varieties which can grow in excess of 3 m tall, Electric Star only grows to 1.2 m in height.

    Strong architectural presence

Residential and commercial gardeners will love Electric Star’s bright green and chocolate striped leaves. It will be easy to incorporate into large commercial plantings because of its predominant green colour. Up close, itis burgundy stripes are easily recognized and will provide the visual appeal desired around patios, terraces and building entrances.

Electric Star will become an important part of modern outdoor living areas.

    Exceptional performance in harsh conditions

Once well established after planting, Electric Star is extremely heat tolerant withstanding temperatures in excess of 40 degrees Celsius. It is cold hardy to 5 degrees Celsius. Below 0 degrees Celsius the foliage will die back with regrowth from the stem base dependant on the amount of protection provided to the roots, and the age of the plant. Climate Zones: 1 to 4.
